The client wanted an online store and a P.O.S (Point os sale). After enough consultation and through visiting different options thoroughly and critically we were able to solve her problem with a simple solution. We created an online store which has a point of sale at the back and we went further and made the back-end also be a pplace were the owner can manage inventory and track online orders.
The store we created was a simple and straight forward one. We respected her choice of colours and used as little literature as possible in our content. The idea was to create a shop. At the back of the site we created an open-source system that allows her to manage er inventory and track her orders. The back-end also allows her to make direct sales to walk-in customers and that just one of the more traditional uses of a P.O.S.
A proud highlight of this online store is the pictures of the items on sale. What we did differently was not use studio photographs and we did not even use a model for our photoshoot. We wanted shoppers to get a sense of how real the cloth are so we let the owner of the store model the cloth herself and we shot the pictures outdoors in different areas of our the store owner's home town.
The attraction factor used for online presence and S.E.O was blogs. We added a blog page that gets updated frequently. The blogs are then shares on different social media platforms by all visiting the online store. Finally we strategically placed Advert spaces in different parts of the Store. The add spaces may be used to promote and market other businesses and brands at a price.
